Responsible Gaming

Betaland are committed to providing a secure, entertaining gaming experience. Betaland wants to ensure that gaming remains enjoyable and pleasurable for all, this is why we have set up gaming parameters to ensure that gaming remains controlled and fun. We recommend that you take advantage of the player protection limits available; they are simple to setup and allow you to stay in control, among which include deposit and loss limits. Customers can easily access a full history of their transactions, withdrawals and deposits through the ‘Cashier / Transaction history’ page.

If you feel that you have a gambling problem, we would recommend that you contact our Customer Services team. On your instruction, they will close your account and ensure that it is not re‐opened. We also recommend that you contact one of the following organisations who can provide assistance:

Responsible Gaming
We recommend that you keep the following in mind when using our site at all times:
  • Play in moderation and keep in mind that this is a form of leisure and not a way of making a living.
  • Only play when you have the money to play and do not borrow money for gaming or gambling purposes.
  • Set yourself a budget and keep track of the amounts spent. Do not exceed your self‐imposed budgets.
  • If you feel that you or a friend or family may have a gambling problem please speak to the organizations listed below to see ways in which they can help you.

Self‐exclusion or Opt‐out
If you feel that gaming is taking too much of your time or would simply like to take a breather you can benefit from our Self‐Exclusion option, along you to exclude yourself from our site for as long as you need. This means you won’t be able to log‐in and play for the period of time you choose to stay away.

You can choose to temporarily suspend your account for 30 or 60 days. This function is available from the user section. Once the account has been suspended the customer must allow the set time frame to pass before the account is reactivated. During the period we will do all we can to prevent new accounts from being opened by the same player.

If you feel that you are unable to play in moderation, we give you the option to close your account permanently. From the user section click on “close your account”. Please not that this is irreversible, and any accounts closed will not be reactivated for your own protection.

Deposit limits
We recommend members set a limit on the amount of money they spend each month by using the deposit limits. You can limit your daily, weekly and monthly deposits from the ‘Settings’ tab on your Betaland account. Log in to your Betaland account, click on ‘settings’ at the top left hand side of the screen, click on the ‘options’ tab and reduce your deposit limits by selecting on the default multiplier



Once you click on confirm your limits will be reset and cannot be increased. To reduce your deposit limits further kindly contact our customer care team info@betaland.com . If you feel ready to increase your limits you can do so by contacting our customer care team through the internal messaging system or by email. Once the written notice request is received the limits will be increased to you preferences after 7 days.

Cake Poker
Self‐exclusion or Opt‐out. On request, Betaland will close any customer's account for a defined period of time or permanently. During which time it will not be possible for the account to be reopened for any reason.

Poker ‐ Boss
Betaland is committed to the promotion of responsible gaming with the aim of minimizing problem gambling and promoting a healthy and responsible gambling environment. If you would like to set Poker limits specific we can set the following:

  • Table buy‐in limits. We recommend members set a limit on the amount of money they spend each month
  • Limit losses per day, week and month
  • Self‐exclusion or Opt‐out. On request, Betaland will close any customer's account for a defined period of time or permanently. During which time it will not be possible for the account to be reopened for any reason.

How do I set wagering limits for myself?
You can use the responsible gaming tool to set personal wagering limits for yourself whenever you wish. Specify the maximum amount of money you wish to allow yourself to wager within a certain time period (per day, per week or per month). You can also specify the maximum total you wish to allow yourself to lose per wagering period.

A day starts at 0:00 and ends 24 hours later, a week is the last seven days including the current day, and a month is the last 30 days including the current day.

What happens if I reach my wagering limits?
The system will automatically recognize when you have reached the limits you have specified for yourself. When you are logged in, you will immediately be notified through a pop‐up message when your most recently‐placed bet has reached or exceeded the limits for the current wagering period. If you are currently participating in a real‐money game and your limits have been exceeded, the game will automatically close as soon as the current game round is finished. You will then be unable to bet in any real‐money game until the next wagering period begins.

If I exceed the wagering limits I set for myself, can I still play for practice?
Yes. During the period you are excluded from the real‐money games, you will still be permitted to log in to the casino to play the games in practice mode, and you will still be able to access your online casino account to make deposits and withdrawals. You cannot, however, access any real‐money game or make any real‐money bet during the specific wagering period.

What if I exceed my wagering limits, but change my mind? Can I change my limits so I can get back to betting immediately?
No. For your own protection, you will be unable to use the responsible gaming tool to set new limits for yourself until the period of exclusion from the real‐money games has ended.

Can I exclude myself completely from the casino?
Yes. If you suspect you may have a gambling problem, you can use the responsible gaming tool to immediately and completely exclude yourself from logging in to the online casino. You can choose to exclude yourself for a limited time period (a designated number of days) or permanently. If you wish to exclude yourself from the casino for a limited time, use the responsible gaming tool to specify the number of days (starting with, but not counting the present day) you wish to remain excluded from the casino. During the time you are completely excluded from the casino, you will be unable to log in, access your casino account or alter your period of exclusion.

Can I be excluded from the casino against my will?
In our efforts to promote responsible gaming, our casino maintains the right to deny service to any guest who shows behaviour indicative of having a gambling problem. Using the responsible gaming tool, you are permitted to completely exclude yourself from the casino for a limited time period only TWICE. For your own protection, when you make your THIRD request to completely exclude yourself from the casino for a limited time period, you will only be given the ability to exclude yourself permanently.

If I am excluded from the casino, can I still access my casino account?
No. During the time you are completely excluded from the casino, you will not be able to log in, access your casino account, or change the period of your exclusion. Therefore, before voluntarily excluding yourself permanently from the casino, please make sure you withdraw any funds available in your casino account. Otherwise, you will be required to contact Customer Support directly about making a withdrawal as an excluded guest.

Setting or Updating Limits
To set or update your personal limits, do the following:
  • On the casino menu, click RESPONSIBLE GAMING.
  • Click EDIT LIMITS.
  • Set or update your personal limits. Click RESET LIMITS to restore the last saved values.
  • Click SAVE LIMITS. Click OK to confirm the made changes. If you have set a limit and increase it, the increased limit will take effect after seven days (see the date in the Takes effect in.
  • Click CLOSE to close the responsible gaming window.


To Self Exclude Yourself from Gaming
To self exclude yourself from playing, do the following:
  • On the casino menu, click RESPONSIBLE GAMING.
  • Click SELF EXCLUSION.
  • If you want to exclude yourself:
    • Temporarily: enter the time period, in the days, that you wish exclude yourself and click APPLY.
    • Permanently: click permanently and click APPLY.
  • Click OK to confirm the made changes.
  • Click CLOSE to close the responsible gaming window.

Examples
Below you find some examples of common scenarios when working with the Responsible Gaming Programme.

Enabling a Limit
  • The particular limit was disabled before
  • The limit takes effect immediately, and is applied to any previous gaming in the limit period
You have never set a wagering or loss limit before, and now you decide to set your first daily wagering limit of €100 at 21.00 on Monday 21st January. You have wagered €80 since 00.00 on Monday 21st January. Then you proceed to wager €20 at 23.00. The wagering limit of €100 now comes into effect, and you will not be allowed to wager again until the next period starts (in this case 00.00 on Tuesday 22nd January)

Lowering a Limit
  • The lower limit takes effect immediately
You set your first daily wagering limit of €300 on Monday 21st January at 11.00. You then decide to reduce the daily wagering limit to €50 on Monday 21st January at 16.00. You have wagered €30 since 00.00 on Monday 21st January. The new limit comes into effect immediately, and as a result you will be allowed to wager €20 for the remaining of the current period i.e. up to including 23.59 on Monday 21st January.

Increasing a Limit
  • The higher limit is registered as a new requested increase and will not be applied immediately.
Instead it will be applied after a period of at least seven days. You have a daily wagering limit of €50 and decide to increase the limit to €100 on Monday 21st January at 16.00. The new limit of €100 is regarded as the new requested limit and will appear in the Requested limit field in the casino client. The new increased limit of €100 will be applied at the earliest 00.00 on Tuesday 29th January. The daily limit of €50 will remain in place until this time. Further Increasing a Limit When There is a New Requested Increase
  • The existing requested limit is replaced with the new value
  • The new requested increase will not take effect until after at least seven days, regardless of how much time was left for the original increase
You have a weekly wagering limit of €300 and decide to increase the limit to €500 on Monday 21st January at 13.00. The new limit of €500 is regarded as the new requested limit and will appear in the Requested limit field in the casino client. The new requested limit will not take effect until after at least seven days, i.e. at the earliest 00.00 on Tuesday 29th January.

During the seven day period you decide to increase the weekly wagering limit to €800 on Friday 25th January at 22.00. The previous requested limit of €500 is replaced with the new value of €800. This new requested limit will take after a further seven days i.e. the increase to a limit of €800 will not come into effect until at the earliest Saturday February 2nd at 00.00 and the original limit of €300 will stay in place until this time.

Cancelling a New Requested Increase
  • A requested increase is cancelled by setting the limit to the current (not pending) value (or a lower value)
  • The requested increase is removed
You have a daily wagering limit of €20 and decide to increase the limit to €80 on Tuesday 22nd January at 11.00. The new limit of €80 is regarded as the new requested limit and will appear in the Requested limit field in the casino client. The new requested limit will not take effect until after at least seven days, i.e. at the earliest 00.00 on Wednesday 30th January. The current daily wagering limit of €20 will remain in place until this time.

However, during the time period of at least seven days before the new limit takes effect, you decide to remove the new requested limit of €80, and you do that by entering €20 or a lower value as the new value. A lower limit takes effect immediately and the previous requested limit of €80 is removed.
